Annual Meeting Minutes

January 17, 2011

The Moderator, Beth McClure, called the meeting to order at 7pm with 27 members and 1 guest present. Les MacNeil opened the meeting with prayer.

The clerk read the CALL of the meeting. She also read a letter of resignation from Pastor Dave.

Pastor Dave led a memorial service for Anne Woods and Leigh Woodman who died on January 18, 2011.

Dave West made a motion, seconded by Jason Hopkins, that the minutes of the last meeting be accepted as printed. It was so voted.

Bill Hopkins made a motion, seconded by Jane Bunker, to accept all the reports from the annual meeting booklet as printed. This was so voted.

Donna Dooley made a motion, seconded by Wendy Lesniak, that we accept Pastor Dave’s letter of resignation with much regret. This was so voted.

There was no old business.

New Business:

•Lou George, interim executive minister from the ABCVNH answered questions and told us about what could happen next in terms of replacing our pastor.

•Intentional Interim: (transitional pastor) could be hired to help us transition to a new pastor. Some of the questions he will help us with are (1) where are we as a church? (2) Where were we in 1987? (3) Where are we as a church going? (4) How will we get there? A decision will be made at the Quarterly Business Meeting in April

•The Trustees suggested that we hold onto the parsonage for now. The decision of how to go about this and what’s next will be brought to the QBM in April.

•Tracy Phillips made a motion, seconded by Tony Dodge, that the slate of boards and committees, and officers be elected at printed in the Nominating Committee report. This was so moved.

•Bill Hopkins made a motion, seconded by Jason Hopkins, that the same Nominating Committee as last year be elected if they are willing to run. So Terri Jansky, Jeff Bunker, Jane Bunker, Donna Hopkins and Jane Kent were elected.

There being no further business, the meeting was closed in prayer by Pastor Dave.
