Quarterly Business Meeting

April 19, 2010

Moderator, Beth McClure, called the meeting to order. Chairman of the Deacons, Marie Ott, opened the meeting in prayer. Twenty-three members attended the meeting.

The Clerk read a letter of resignation from the Board of Deacons by Deborah Moore.

David West made the motion, seconded by Tracy Phillips, to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as printed. This was voted in the affirmative.

Assistant Treasurer, Les MacNeil, presented the Treasurer’s report. Craig Ott made a motion, seconded by Jane Bunker, to accept the Treasurer’s report as printed. This was voted in the affirmative.

New Business:

•Letter of resignation: Jeff Bunker made a motion, seconded by Sandy Rissler, to accept with regret the resignation of Deborah Moore from the Deacons. This was voted in the affirmative.

•Delegate to ABCVNH Annual Meeting: Mark McClary volunteered to be a delegate. On a motion by Jane Bunker, seconded by Pat MacNeil, he was so voted.

•Request from the Red Cross: The Red Cross has asked to use our building in case of an emergency. Marie Ott told us what was involved and how we could help. There will be a training session by the Red Cross for this. Dave West made a motion, seconded by Pat MacNeil, to partner with the Red Cross for disaster operations and to authorize the trustees to act on the church’s behalf. This was voted in the affirmative.

•Budget shortfall: The Stewardship Committee will meet and look into possible solutions and report back to the church as soon as possible.

There being no further business the Pastor closed in prayer at 8 pm.
